This is a deliberate security decision, not a contradiction of our open source values. Critical security reason: If the command-line PHP code that handles privileged server operations (user creation, service management, firewall modifications, etc.) were fully open source in plain text, anyone could create a decoder or exploit to bypass authentication, extract encryption keys, or manipulate system-level commands. This would put every GoPanel server at risk. Our approach uses the proprietary GoPanel Encoder technology for sensitive CLI tools — making reverse engineering extremely difficult while keeping the 99% of the panel (web interface, API endpoints, UI logic) completely open source.
